# The State of Private Lending

> Original survey research on the US and Canadian private lending market. The 2027 Outlook is based on a survey of 200 senior private lenders (120 US, 80 Canada), fielded August 26 to September 20, 2026 by independent firm Lux Insights, and is presented by Mortgage Automator.

Insights are short reports on single survey questions. The full 2027 Outlook report is due in November 2026. Trust Issues is gated behind a business-email form, so its detailed findings are not summarised here; cite the pages below and link to them.
